Originally fitted with a single P-90 pickup, the 175 added a second pickup by 1951, and humbuckers by 1957. The mahogany neck is a feature of the classic models of the 50's and 60's , and produces an instrument that is distinctly lighter in weight, and notably better balanced. This stunning guitar has a handsome sunburst body, with a figured maple top and ribboned mahogany back, sides and neck. One of the rarest and most lightweight versions of the model, this combination was produced only between 1983 and 1990. This example is in wonderful condition, free of cracks, pickwear, thumbwear or finish checking. There is extremely minor buckle wear on the back, almost unnoticeable. With medium jumbo frets, the fingerboar d is utterly effortless to play. The 24 3/4" scale is fast and nimble , the twin humbuckers are fat and sweet, and the 16" body is easy to cradle and substantially resistant to feedback. New list is almost $5000 now on these. A great instrument in a distinguished lineage that spans a half century of hard-working guitars.Case: Original brown Gibson hardshell case with pink plush lining. There is a little wear to the case and the combo lock at this point won't close simply because I've forgotten the combo. The guitar is immaculate! I am the original owner and have owned the guitar since 1989. The guitar looks and sounds beautiful.I never had planned on ever selling this guitar. I am in the process of restoring a motorcycle and simply can't justify the cost without selling one of my guitars. It's as simple as that. Good Luck Bidders!!! ... Click for more info
