The Custom Shop Standard enabled Gibson to make some excellent alterations to a established classic. Starting off with the tried and true mahogany/maple tone wood combination, this has the exceptional warm resonance and high end mids you have come to expect from your Les Paul. Into that, Gibson went with a pair of '57 Classics. These humbuckers are based on the original PAF pickup. These deliver incredibly earthy crunch and super thick sustain- the perfect compliment for this guitar. This Les Paul has that rare dynamic sensitivity- this really becomes an extension of your playing. The mahogany neck has the Slim Taper profile resulting in unparalleled comfort. Add to that the 10" fretboard radius and you have a p laying machine. Low action and effortless bends are the calling cards here. The look of this Custom Shop is astounding- deep trans blue finish showing off the highly figured top. Add to that cream body & neck binding and chrome hardware and you have a real piece of art. This Gibson is in exceptional condition- nothing to report. The frets here are clean- just professionally set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret.
