This is a pre-CBS 1963 Fender Jaguar. This guitar was originally the three color sunburst and was factory refinished by Fender in 1967 in candy apple red. Everything but the finish (and the white pick guard when refinished) is all 1963 OEM. Serial # is L19701. It’s a beautiful guitar that does have some dings and scratches that I captured the best I could in the pics. The chrome on this guitar is in better shape than most as is the neck and all hardware. Everything is original, pots and switches work great, neck is straight, awesome tone, nice low action, minimal fret wear, Kluson tuners work perfectly and stay in tune, a real pleasure to play. One of the nicer pre-CBS players you will find. The neck was removed a few years ago to verify that it was the original and to take a couple pics which turned out lousy… but you can see the end of the neck is stamped “1 AUG 63B†and “4601 CA RED†on the back. None of the electronics have been removed or tampered with at all. Comes with the original tremolo arm and white case; the case has a section where the vinyl has been worn away on one end (see pics). The latches snap securely but the latch springs don’t flip up any longer.I'm not an expert on vintage guitars but I can try to answer any questions you may have.
