1970 Gibson ES-330

1970 Gibson ES-330
1970-gibson-es-330

Price: 305.0
Full hollow body, P-90 pickups, and all-original except for case and frets(see below).  This is an experienced guitar: I've toured with it for the last 12 years after buying it at a store here in Minneapolis.  It was in pretty bad shape when I bought it and invested money into repairs.  These included reglueing some of the binding, refretting, and reglued where the top had separated from the sides at a couple places.  After the fixes, the guitar became a treasure.  Excellent action/playablity and that Gibson P90 tone!!!  Think the Me ters. The overall condition of the guitar would be right around "good" to "very good" based on some cosmetic factors which I've tried to illustrate in the photos.  The most major blemish is a bad repair on a crack on the back.  Also there is hairline fracture on the back of the neck running from the nut to the first fret.  This is not deep and is not a major issue and is undetectable by feel when gripping the neck there (and hard to see with the naked eye). There's a small section near the input jack where the top is separating ever-so-slightly from the side, I never got around to applying some glue there, and that a fix I would recommend to the auction winner.  Finally, there is a one inch piece of binding missing from the top near the lower strap button.  Mostly all cosmetic stuff.  All these issues are apparent in the photos, but please ask any questions!I'm not certain if the volume and tone knobs are original, I 'm guessing that not all are.  Furthermore, one knob is missing, the pickguard is not included, and the cap for the pickup switch is missing.  So, its a raggedy axe that feels amazing and plays just as good!  These are the best P90's I've ever heard on a gibson.  Included is a new SKB case which was purchase just two months ago.It all adds up to a real opportunity to own a classic at a reasonable price.  I'm excited to pass this one along to its next home, so I'll make this auction user friendly:  no reserve, free shipping, and a low starting bid!  Shipping to the lower 48 ONLY.  Unless you have an account with UPS or FEDEX, then I can drop the guitar off at my local branch after receiving your payment, and you can take it from there.  Its a ten day auction, so there will be time to ask plenty of question and feel comfortable with the item, and I encourage you to do that.  Like I said, this guitar has been on stage many, many, nights -- across the country.  When I needed a R& B, Blues, or Rock and Roll sound, I would reach for it every time.   I ...
