Your chance to get a great playing and incredible sounding American Deluxe Strat for less because of some cosmetic issues with the body. The guitar was dropped off the strap and had a chip come out of the bottom(was repaired to be smooth with body and was unnoticeable until the black pigment faded) and the finish cracked and spidered on the back as seen in the picture. Most of the crack didn't come all the way to the surface and what did was filled in. I was warned against buffing it out to much after it was fixed because the color is not on the wood but on the clearcoat base layer. Well....I buffed it out a little to much and removed some of the color in 3 small spots you can see in picture. It's still protected by the clearcoat though. These are all cosmetic issues only and while being played aren't even seen. The neck is in excellent shape with no fret wear to speak of and barely a mark on the back of the neck with the headstock being like new. The locking tuners are great too. The bridge has stainless steel saddles,steel block and adjustable pop-in tremolo arm. The electronics are from a '99 Super strat that I grafted into a new Fender mint colored pickguard and In my opinion just blow away the thinner sounding new noiseless p'ups. I planned on changing out the gold screws from the super strat ;electronics but I kind of liked them after a while. ; This is just a great guitar with no playing issues at all and still looks damn fine too. It's the best sounding strat I have had out of dozens in last couple decades plus...but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm shipping it out with a like new Gator semi hard case .
