For auction is a 2012 Gibson ES-355 Custom Shop Limited Edition Flame Curly Maple Antique Natural With Bigsby with the original custom shop case and documentation. You wont be finding this guitar at every mega guitar chain but 50 were produced this year and I was extremely lucky to get one in. Good luck trying to find one left in the US, mo st I have found were sold as soon as they hit the floor at the shops. When Gibson nails a guitar model they really hit it out of the park and this gorgeous 355 custom design is for sure just that. One of the smoothest sounding semi-hollows I have heard in a long time with really perfect tone/balance. This 355 comes fully loaded and no mods done at all. You can't beat Gibson Custom Shop's attention to detail and how they sculpt the sound you would expect from a guitar of this caliber. The guitar feels great when you play with that sculpted neck and ebony board. It for sure has that Gibson double humbucker growl if you hit it with some gain but it can do those clean jazz/blues sound spot on everytime. With the Classic 57s pick ups the players who want to push the gain, feel free. I for sure did when I tested it out and it really comes to life with a nice old school tube amp. Matching the sound are the looks of this guitar and from the pictures you can see they went to town wit h this guitar. Pretty much every inch of the guitar has that flame on it and then you have the curly maple peaking through showing awesome wood grain. Saying that this guitar is a head turner is an understatement, to date I think it is the most impressive Gibson guitar I have gotten in.Condition is as close to mint as you are going to get besides picking it up directly at Gibson. I usually go over the entire guitar describing blems but since this one is so clean I do not see any blems to mention. I would give it a 10 out of 10 and I had no issues when I tested it out.
