One `62 Gibson Les Paul Jr. SG.I bought this little gem a couple years ago for a restoration project, but time, life, and the all-too-valuable storage space says it needs to go.100% origional. Everything works well (the pots are just a tad bit scratchy, but using them more often will cure that). This guitar is an enjoyable guitar, and I hate to part with it. This would be an excellent student`s guitar, as it is so, so, so easy to play for extended times (my tired old hands just love it).Origional untampered electronics, as well as that swell P-90 single pickup. The body and neck have some dings, nicks, and that cursed sticker shadow from the previous owner. I had origionally planned on refinishing it, but thought that someone other than myself would be able to do the job better than I. Cracks, splits, and breaks are non-existent.The frets were redressed and the guitar was set up very nicely and has a nice clean action! If the action and string height on this guitar fails to meet your particular standards, I strongly suggest that you take it to someone well-versed in guitar repair/setups if you lack the knowledge and skills to do it yourself.Origional Kluson Deluxe tuners are still straight and work fine. The wrap around bridge is the origional. All the plastic parts are crackless, but the pickguard has curled over the years, as is common on this guitar. The heads of the screws have some surface rust, but are intact and work well. The hardshell case is in very good condition, telling me th at it sat in the closet most of the time, as it is really clean and with minimal scratch and scuff marks. The key was gone when I bought it, but I`m sure it can be replaced.I cannot provide the informations of the pots, as it is stamped into the sides of them as opposed to the backs, and I thought that taking the rig apart would be detrimental to getting those numbers, but they are the origional pots.I checked out this guitar in Gruhn`s Guide to Vintage Guitars, and determined that the year of manufacture is 1962, although I`m inclined to think it`s really 1961. It`s hard to pin down due to Gibson`s erratic numbering system at that point in time. Here`s the kicker...The serial number is 5 digits! Serial number-76827. Do a little research on it and you`ll see what I mean.Shipping is free, and will be insured and trackable. Packaging will be well done, with expectation of the shipping/handling processes. There has to be someone at the address over 18 years of age to si gn for delivery! This guitar could be the "bestest" Christmas present for someone, even yourself! It`s only going to be for sale seven days, so make sure to put this on your watch list! The only issue ...
