Neck pencil date September 14, 1985 Neck stamped TL69-75 Bridge plate serial number, which really tells you nothing, is A034113 First run reissue... Full-size pots, very strong pickups, and no mods, appears all original. There is a very nice almost aged green hue/tint to the finish which doesnt show in the pictures. The guitar has lots of little dings ect. making it look like a real 1969 guitar. The hardware has aged nicely. The neck has a very nice aged amber tint unlike the newer reissues. The fingerboard, headstock, and back of the neck are well played with finish wear and dings for a nice relic appeal- plenty of life left in the frets. The tuner holes on the back may have have been modified for Sperzels, there is some evidence that tuners were changed at one point in time but absolutely nothing affecting play, also please note the original tuners are now back on the guitar. It is also straight w/ truss rod in perfect working condition. This is certainly a legendary Fender model- beautifully crafted. Buy yourself this fabulous Fender '69 Reissue Telecaster! All of the little bumps n bruises, finish cracks make for a nice light relic look, no issues that would affect the playability and nothing unstable. I've owned quite a few of this model reissue from the mid 80's and they are so much nicer than their newer or new cousins... just no comparison. Approximately 8 lbs by my bathroom scale. Very minor fret wear on first 3 frets. No issues its a straight guitar. I have some very nice guitars and this is a good one, I'm only selling to help fund a recent Les Paul purchase. ... look at my feedback. I've checked other listings and this is one of the only older ones I see and it's priced lower than the new inferior ones on here. Super fast action, great sustain and dripping with tone .
