HERE I HAVE FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION: A 2001 GIBSON USA SG STANDARD ’61 REISSUE RARE WITH MAESTRO VIBROLA IN FADED CHERRY FINISH WITH GIBSON USA CASE & AUTHENTIC GIBSON LEATHER STRAP. This great Gibson SG ’61 Reissue has been a great guitar, but now it must go. I have used it for various gigs and studio recordings. It does show signs of use and some belt rash (see detailed photos). I believe this is the last production run they did with Vibrolas, that particular option was discontinued in 2002 by Gibson. I purchased this new in 2001 and it has been kept in the case when not being played. The guitar comes in the original Gibson USA case and includes the tremolo arm. The Tremelo arm was heated and bent as I did not use it very much and needed it out of my way most of the time. It can be bent back or a new one can be purchased from around $30 online. It still functions and can be taken off if not needed. This SG has Nickel hardware, whereas the current models (w/o Vibrola) have Chrome.
