This is a 2010 Fender Telecaster Special Edition with many major upgrades. It started out with a vintage-style ashtray bridge and brass saddles with two extra high output single coil pickups. I added a USA-made Bigsby F tremolo, a set of GFS Neovin Pure Vintage noise-free pickups, copper shielding in the electronics cavities, and an electrosocket input jack. This is a very cool special edition made-in-Mexico Tele. The copperburst finish look s great. The maple neck has a full-gloss poly finish like the American Fenders with medium jumbo frets and a 9.5 " fingerboard radius. The electrosocket is a must for Teles, in my opinion. No more loose jack syndrome. The best part is the Bigsby. The high-mass of the Bigsby compared with the vintage style bridge, gives it a much more full tone and much better sustain. Maybe a bit less of that super thin, bright classic Tele tone, but I think it's much more useful tone wise with the Bigsby. Plus, it's a great tremolo! The bridge hardware threads have been treated with Permatex thread lock, which eliminates that rattly bridge issue that is common with this type of Fender bridges. To finish it off, I leveled and dressed the frets. This thing plays like butter, no buzzing or rattling, and sounds amazing! The upgrades are for tone and playability. I didn't mess with the tuning machines, since they work great. At one point I did add an odd-shaped pickguard, which required a couple of extra holes to be drilled in the body. The original pickguard is back on there, and the holes have been filled, but you can still see them if you look closely. There is also a small finish scratch just below the control plate. Otherwise, there is no buckle rash, no nicks or dings, just some pickmarks on the pickguard.
