This is a gorgeous 2005 premium top Les Paul with a slim taper 60's neck. I am not certain what Gibson had in 2005 for the official designation is but it is definately one of the nicest tops that I have seen. Look at the pics. In fact, this guitar has that dancin 3D effect when looking at it from different angles and light. This guitar is in excellent condition with the normal pick scratches and a few small marks that ca n't be seen unless you get up on the guitar. Normal stuff that you would expect from a 7 year old guitar. I never put the pickguard on it so it does not have any holes drilled. (Which accounts for the wear swirls in that area) I am a vintage collector so I like it when the pickups covers and bridge have some dullness to the nickel plated hardware.(Therefore I try not to clean the nickel) The guitar playes perfectly with ultra low action and currently set up and intonated with 9's. I will throw in a brand new set of strings in the original case. The guitar nicely weighed; not very heavy at all like some LP's. It has that rich harmonic sustain that I would characterize as warm with a nice LP bite. The guitar is 100% original and comes with the original Hard Shell Gibson Case. Good Luck ...
