FENDER USA 1987 AMERICAN STANDARD STRATOCASTER - GUN METAL BLUE All Original Parts, 1st Year of Production, Rare Color, Original Hardshell, Pro SetupWORLDWIDE SHIPPING AVAILABLE!  This is a 1987 Vintage Fender American Standard Stratocaster, made in Corona, CA, USA. 1987 was the first year of the American Standard Stratocaster (the reason this guitar has an E4 serial number is that many of the 1987-1988 Fender were made using leftover parts from the Fender Fullerton factory, including serial number decals). As you can see from the pictures of the internal parts, the neck is date stamped on the heel and the pot codes are R13784XXX and R13786XXX (on the TBX) which denote American Made CTS potentiometer manufactured in 1984 and 86).The Fender American Standard Stratocaster is the gold standard; it is a classic design by which all other Strats are judged. Features a select alder body, USA electronics, maple modern "C" shape neck, etc. Vintage style single coils give you that classic Fender tone. The tuners have been upgraded to genuine Fender / Schaller brushed chrome locking tuners (as used on the Strat Plus). There are some long thin indentations by the bottom body edge (you can see one in the picture). Some light buckle "worming" on the back. There is a small indentation on the fretboard at the 11th fret as pictured. All wear is surface level, cosmetic only - you can only see them if you look at the guitar at an angle. None of the wear will show up in pictures. The frets are in good shape with minimal string wear. Ships in the original Fender Hardshell molded hardshell case with tremolo bar.
