This is a great Tokai SG I picked up in a trade. It had been sitting unplayed for a long time. I cleaned her up, put some fresh .10s on her, and she plays like a dream!This SG plays better than any Epiphone I've played, and is on par with any Gibson out there. It has no serial number anywhere, and no evidence of one that has been removed.She has been played quite a bit. Â I think it may be an older one, given the oxidation on the screws and the amount of grunge under the pickguard and bridge. Â The newer ones I've seen don't have the quality of inlays this one has. Since I cannot definitively date it, you're on your own to decide. Â If you can help identify the date, please let me know! Â She weighs in at 7.1 pounds.There are a couple of superficial cracks I tried to photograph, one in the bass side pocket, and one on the neck. The neck crack is not on both sides, and does not appear to be deep. The neck is not and has not been broken. Â There is a piece of binding missing from the treble side, on frets 11-12. Â This has not affected playing. Â Ships without a case, but will be packaged professionally. c.1945 Gibson ES-300 Up for auction is a circa 1945 Gibson ES-300. This is a great vintage 17 inch wide archtop with some mods that make it a great players ES-300. Rare Original Natural Finish with some light finish checking, Solid Carved Spruce Top, Super flamed Maple Back, Maple neck, Script inlayed Gibson logo, and trapeze tailpiece. The white f-hole Gibson label is intact. However, much of the writing on the label has faded and is not readable. I have therefore dated the guitar to 1945 based on its features including a script logo and solid spruce top. In 1946 the ES-300 would change to a Mahogany neck so I know this guitar is pre-1946. The guitar has had some player mods. The tuners have been replaced with older small gromet Grovers and the neck has been professionally refretted. Newer knobs, switch tip, and bridge. The neck pickup appears to be original and the bridge pickup looks to be from the 1960s/70s. The guitar appears to have had humbucking pickups installed at one time. The guitar has been converted to more modern wiring with a three position switch and volume and tone controls for both pickups. There are several cracks on the top, back, and sides of the body. Most appear to have been repaired years ago with some cleats visible through the f-holes. There are NO headstock cracks or repairs. The guitar plays and sounds wonderful with nice warm P-90 tone. Guitar will ship in a modern hardshell case for protection. With Vintage dealers asking over $4500 for similar original Blonde Finish ES-300 guitars, I have set a much lower reserve price. Hello. Up for auction is a 1983 Fender American Standard Stratocaster electric guitar. This auction also includes a hardshell case, the tremelo arm, the original pickups, and the original wiring harness. We just took this guitar in on consignment and are very impressed. This one owner guitar was played but very well cared for. There are a few tiny pick scratches here and there but certainly nothing major or inconsistent with a guitar of this age. Everything functions just as it should with no issues at all. This guitar had the pickups upgraded to Noiseless pickups. The wiring harness was also upgraded when the install was one. The original pickups and harness are also included. Aside from that, everything is original with no mods or repairs. The case functions perfectly but does show a little bit of aesthetic wear on the exterior. Our tech just set it up with a fresh set of strings and it plays like a dream with nice low action. You are looking at a 2006 Fender Highway 1 Stratocaster in excellent condition. Frets are fine, no major dings, scratches or damage. Stock, except for missing trem bar and trem plate and the stock Hot Alnico III pickups have been replaced with handwound boutique pickups by Chnlone that are Alnico V wound to 1965 Fender specs. Inste ad of sounding like a bludgeoning hammer it now sounds like a good Stratocaster should sound. It is set up with 10's with the tremolo locked into place. All the springs are present so you can alter it back for trem use. One thing perceptive folks will notice is that on the back of the headstock there is no "MADE IN U.S.A." like there normally is. I took a picture of the neck and pocket and sent it to Fender who confirmed this is 100% U.S.A. Fender and that the 2006's (when the necks were changed from rosewood/60s headstocks to maple/70s headstocks) had a few come off the line either missing that stamp or the 60th anniversary coin. This is a very unique guitar. Looks great, sounds great! It is a 1998 Gibson SG-X lightly modified into a P-90 Jr.-esque configuration with a single volume control. The modifications were done in such a way that the guitar can be returned to the original SG-X setup if preferred (original pickguard, knobs, tone pot and tap switch included...the humbucker pickup is not original..it is a Dimarzio DP 151 PAF Pro, a very good sounding pickup). Only screw heads were affixed to the batwing pick guard in critical areas&nbs p;so that no holes were created in areas of the body exposed in the original configuration. The pickup tap switch hole is simply filled with a white plastic snap in plug which can be quickly removed. I did do some minor dremel work to the pickup cavity to accomodate the P-90 (which came from an SG Classic, BTW). The body has a good deal of finish checking and there is a chip on the horn of the top cutaway which was covered with a poor matching paint (The pic that shows this actually looks worse than it does "in person." ). The guitar comes with the Gibson padded bag pictured, not a hard shell case. The pic of the guitar in the hard case is not actually this guitar but is provided to show the appearance of the guitar in its original configuration. Welcome to my auction. Today I am selling a completely mint 2005 Mexican Telecaster. As you can see in the pictures, the guitar is finished in a classic 3-tone sunburst with a 3-ply parchment white pickguard and a maple neck. I bought this guitar locally on a whim, and I can't believe the condition it is in. The owner said he originally bought it to use as a slide guitar, but never played it much. It looks like he never played it ever. The finish is perfect, no buckle rash or any imperfections that I can find. Anything in the pictures that looks like an imperfection is just a reflection. The neck is as straight as an arrow and the frets looks unplayed. All the hardware is shiny and untarnished. Currently, the guitar has 11's on it and sounds incredible for blues. I know that these are mass produced in a factory to be identical, but I have played a lot of Mexican tele's and they are not all created equal by any means. This one is a real gem, the neck is super comfortable with absolutely no sharp fret edges. It feels like it may have been professionally set up. I have a 1980's Japanese Tele that I bought several years ago and I consider it to be the holy grail of tele's for my taste, but this one holds its own against it all day.The guitar will come with some really nice extras as well. It comes with a USA made G&G Fender Case ($150 from Fender). This is the same case that my custom shop stratocaster came with. I'm not sure how this case ended up with this guitar, but they don't come any nicer. The case is perfect on the inside and all the latches work, but the outside has a little wear and tear as it should from protecting the instrument. It will also come with a really nice wide leather strap made by Fender. If you look closely at the pictures, you can see that the Fender logo is embossed at the wide end of the strap. The tan color really compliments the finish of the guitar. I am also throwing in a set of D'Addario .10 gauge strings, but th e current strings have some life left in them too. This set-up w ould cost around $750 with tax if you bought it brand new. Save some cash and buy this mint Tele from a reputable seller with lots of experience selling guitars (check my feedback). Although this is made in Mexico, the construction quality is great and playability is great. Most importantly, this sounds just like the vintage 70's Fenders, but at a fraction of the cost. The neck and body are in great shape except for 4 chips in the finish (see photos). These chips go down to the wood, but there is very little damage to the wood itself. The case is a Rickenbacker case. As you can see from the photos, the velvet on the inside has been cut and modded to fit a telecaster. Also the back of the case has been repaired and the name "Logan" was spraypainted on the front. This is a 1990 Gibson Les Paul Studio. I got it used several years ago. It has a very thin crack off the nut into the neck on both sides. Please check the photos as a couple show this. I've never had a problem with it at all in the years I've had this guitar, it doesn't seem to be getting worse. Th ere are numerous scars, scrapes and dings on this guitar - it is far from new. The guy I bought it from said that it came stock with the Bill Lawrence Gibson branded pickups. I unscrewed them enough to check the backs, and sure enough that's what they were. To my knowledge Gibson was using these Bill Lawrence pickups stock in 1990 (I think they are called "The Original"). Not sure if that is a plus or minus, but they seem like really nice pickups to me. The guitar has Schaller straplocks installed. The frets are in great shape.I have an Epiphone case that is in pretty good shape (even still has the key), that I will ship this guitar in. You are looking at a gently used 1994 Fender Jazzmaster, made in Japan. Â Olympic white with aftermarket mint green pickguard. Â All the usual mods that have to be performed to the MIJ/CIJ Jazzmasters have been done. Â The stock JM/Jaguar bridge has been replaced with a Mustang bridge (no rattling!); the stock pickups (which were wound more like Stratocaster pickups) have been re placed with Pickup Wizard 1958 wound pickups. Â It's set up with green Slinkie 10's and is ready to go for years of playing, and at 18 years old, is in fantastic shape. Â Other than small incidental scratches there are two larger dings: the small divet on the front of the guitar that goes through the finish (has been repaired the best I can) but your arm normally covers this spot so it's not that visible; and there are some small fleabite dings on the headstock. You are looking at a first year Fender Strat Plus in great condition. It is a first year production model with the coveted "E4" Serial Number. It sounds and plays amazing. It is 100% original as seen in the pictures. It has been played and has minor signs of wear. I've taken pictures of these areas. The body has the normal wear, that you'd expect from a 25 year old guitar. The pic by the input jack - this is the only area on the body where any wear is through the paint. This could very easily be touched up, but I didn't want to do anything that would alter the original-ness of this guitar. The neck has a few minor spots on the back - barely noticeable. I took a pick of the worst one, near fret 4. There is a little bit of fret wear, mostly at 1-5. This in no way affects the playability nor is it an issue in any way. The areas I've noted are minimal and barely visible beyond a couple of inches away. I want you to be happy with your purchase, and I've tried to be completely upfront about the condition. I have a 100% positive rating and have sold many high end guitars on eBay. The guitar plays like a dream and sounds amazing - it's a Strat Plus!!!!!!! I have several guitars and play this one the least, so, time to let it go. From what I can tell from the neck and pocket indications, this one was made in early Spring of 1998. It has the rare Wilkinson Split Nut. The original Gold Lace Sensors (square bottoms and lettering on the top of the PU) sound great. All of the electronics are original. You can also compare the pics of this guitar to the info provided by Xhefri to verify that everything checks out. Original Hardshell Case is included. The case has been beaten bloody!!!!
