This is a very unique guitar. Looks great, sounds great!  It is a 1998 Gibson SG-X lightly modified into a P-90 Jr.-esque configuration with a single volume control. The modifications were done in such a way that the guitar can be returned to the original SG-X setup if preferred (original pickguard, knobs, tone pot and tap switch included...the humbucker pickup is not original..it is a Dimarzio DP 151 PAF Pro, a very good sounding pickup).  Only screw heads were affixed to the batwing pick guard in critical areas&nbs p;so that no holes were created in areas of the body exposed in the original configuration.  The pickup tap switch hole is simply filled with a white plastic snap in plug which can be quickly removed.   I did do some minor dremel work to the pickup cavity to accomodate the P-90 (which came from an SG Classic, BTW).  The body has a good deal of finish checking and there is a chip on the horn of the top cutaway which was covered with a poor matching paint (The pic that shows this actually looks worse than it does "in person." ).  The guitar comes with the Gibson padded bag pictured, not a hard shell case.  The pic of the guitar in the hard case is not actually this guitar but is provided to show the appearance of the guitar in its original configuration.   Shipping charges will be for actual shipping only and will vary by location.  I do not make money on packing shipping.  Any shipping overage will be refunded to the buyer.On Aug-29-12 at 0 8:50:38 PDT, seller added the following information:I added a couple of pictures in an effort to show a couple of finish blemishes that I mentioned in my response to the question posted in this auction.  It is very difficult to see the areas on the back of the neck and body as they are very subtle.  I added a pic of a minor defect on the headstock as well.  Like the one on the horn of the cutaway, the touch up paint was poorly applied and matched but the appearance is actually amplified by the flash.  I have another couple of pics showing other minor defects but can't load more than 12 on this auction, so here is a link to a photobucket album. http://s221.photobucket.com/albums/dd23/evbrad2007/SG-X/ If you would like to request other specific pics, I'm happy to provide them for you as time permits.  Thanks for the interest thus far. ...
