Phone Number  Circa 1971 GIBSON SG "Deluxe" finished in Heritage Cherry nitrocellulose lacquer and factory equipped with Gibson branded Bigsby vibrato.  1971 was the first year of the SG Deluxe which replaced the Standard in the SG line-up at this time and featured "drop in" controls, revised neck angle and inset neck for added strength and tuning stability. Beautiful mahogany body and neck. Dark and dense rosewood fretboard. Pickguard missing, but looks much better without it, IMHO. Vintage condition, but still very presentable. Has some button wear on the back (not through the finish), a few nicks, miscellaneous dings, scratches, bumps, etc. NO signs of abuse. Please see the pics. No cracks in the cutaways. No neck repairs. No heel repairs. No neck resets. Neck joint is perfect. Feather weight at 7.4 pounds! Frets show nominal wear, but enough life left for another dressing or two down the road. Very fast neck with low, comfortable action. Nut width is the more narrow 1-9/16". The neck has a great feeling chunky "C" neck profile. Has upgraded USA made Genesis "Mr. Browney" PAF style pick-ups which are wound to get that EVH "brown" sound. From the Genesis website......Mr. Browney was designed to capture the elusive brown sound. It is a medium output pickup and it uses an AlniCo II magnet for a smoother sound, buttery midrange and excellent bass response. It is made of 42 gauge magnet wires, wood spacers, precision machined shoes, quality slugs and adjustable pole pieces and uses the random-wound, hand-guided winding technique. It has all the elements of the brown sound that you are looking for. From note bloom, chord bloom, feedback, harmonics, double tone, and screaming pick scrapes are all there. Most of all, it has the trade mark of every Genesis pickup which is clarity and it cuts very well without being too bright. The neck (7.6K ohms) sounds nice and creamy without being muddy and the bridge (9.4K ohms) has lots of push, but it's not over the top. These pups are an excellent compliment to the vintage mahogany and are perfectly matched and balanced. Plugged in, there's not much that can touch it! Pots, switch and output jack are newer replacements.  Controls work perfectly with no static or noise. Grover Rotomatic tuners hold tune perfectly. Just set-up with new .010's, truss rod adjusted, pick-ups balanced, intonation set. Ready to play.  Newer ABS hardshell case  in excellent condition included.  Shows some minor scuffing on the outside but no cracks or damage. Inside is in very nice shape. No funny smells. Overall, this SG is a superb vintage player that is easy on the back and the wallet and can rock all night with the best of 'em! ... Click for more info
