Sorry, I re-listed because I wanted to get some better pictures up. They're still not great, as I just have an iPhone camera!Offered for sale is a cherry Gibson ES-333 guitar, serial number 03292739. Made in Nashville in 2002. Professionally polished high-gloss finish -- the finish was brought up to an ultra smooth, high gloss by Southbound Custom Guitars in Memphis. For just about all intents and purpose, this would pass as a brand new guitar. As you may know, the red on 333s is a particularly attractive color -- it's more orangey/watermelon-y than a current production cherry red 335 which is bright red. Boutique low-wind handmade pickups, wound by Jared Brandon at Brandonwound Pickups, with nickel silver covers. Neck is 7.1ohms, Alnico 2, and bridge is 8.0 ohms, Alnico 5. These are just tremendous pickups. I had Lollar Imperials in the guitar before these, and they didnât give rise to quite the PAF tone I was looking for. Think of Drew Zingg when he played with Steely Dan â" thatâs exactly the sound I wanted. And these pickups do precisely that! Also: ES-335 5-ply short pickguard and correct Gibson bracket (these brackets are VERY hard to find!). There's a little mark from where an old screw hole was filled in -- it previously had a different bracket but it wasn't quite installed in the correct position. Gibson black reflector knobscorrect historic-style tall pickup ringsTonepros AVR2 bridge, nickel Tonepros locking tailpiece, nickel Tusq nutProfessionally set up for .0105 strings. (I use .010s on my Fenders, and with a Gibsonâs shorter scale, .0105s give you almost exactly the same feel.) Action is extremely low and buzz-free. Intonation is perfect. '50s-style wiring harness by David âJonesyBluesâ Jones in Knox, IN, with CTS 550K pots and .015 microfarad caps on both tone circuits. TonePros keystone tuners, nickel, with bolt bushings. Includes an SKB hardshell case â" this is the best case, short of one of the $1K+ carbon fiber cases, that you can get for 335-style guitars; it is light, fits correctly, holds the neck snugly in place, and has a superb latching system (keys included). One little thing I noticed putting this listing together is that the case is imperfect -- I'd never noticed that before as I have never taken the case out of the house. The aluminum rail doesn't quite mate correctly in one place (see last pic). I assume this must be a manufacturing defect, but the case is otherwise 100% fine. This is simply one hell of a guitar. The tone is outrageously good, the guitar is dead silent, and the pickups are in perfect balance with each other. The neck is a medium profile. No visible fretwear whatsoever. Completely ready to go -- 100% ready for a major gig. All the fine tuning and upgrading has been taken care of, and it's good to go.Will be shipped Fedex Ground.& ... Click for more info
