 1983 vintage 'Dan Smith Era' Fender American Stratocaster in excellent condition. At the advice of a couple collectors, I took the guitar apart to get accurate dates and have added those pictures. I am the second owner, the first owner was a collector. I used this exclusively at home and in studios. This guitar has rich tone and great output. This model was only made for a few years and discontinued after 1983. This guitar includes the original hard-shell case also in excellent condition.  The guitar has a few minor dings (please see photos they are hard to see) but the overall finish is in fantastic condition for a guitar that is 30 years old. Note that the 1983 Revised Stratocaster with the jack plug on the pick guard is not a Dan Smith Stratocaster despite what some eager eBay sellers like to claim. This Dan Smith Stratocaster features a more accurate version of the pre-CBS with a smaller headstock; a four-bolt neck plate; the somewhat "hotter" X-1 pickup in the bridge position. ...
