For sale is a 2004 Blonde Gibson ES 333 recently reviewed in the July/August 2012 edition of the ToneQuest Report. This is the actual guitar reviewed and was purchased direct from the ToneQuest Report, please see the written note included in the pictures. The reserve is set lower than the actual price paid, here is a great opportunity to purchase a fabulous guitar.The guitar is vibrant and alive when played unplugged and shines when played through an amp with singing sustain that only can be had from a thinline. New amber replacement knobs, switch tip, 500k CTS audio taper pots, and nickel Grover Rotomatic tuners have been installed. The stop tailpiece has been replaced with the heavier TonePros nickel-plated model. The pickups are not the original 490R and 490T Gibson's, they are unknown in origin but the tone is bright and clear and they sound really good. The tone caps have been replaced with a '50's Grey Tiger for the neck pickup and a Cornell Dubilier for the bridge. The finish has been buffed out and now looks like a well-aged full gloss. All modifications were done to the guitar before I purchased it by David Wilson for his review. The guitar weights 8.4 pounds and includes the original Gibson hard shell case.
