Beautiful and genuine 1953 Fender Blackguard Esquire. 100% original finish and all original parts with the exception of the caps and I will throw in a set of luxe repro 50's esquire caps to restore it. Neck and body dates both 10-53 and the neck has a lovely chunky profile. Not quite a baseball bat, but not far off. Some really nice flame and birdseys on the neck too. The guitar is light at around 7lbs and play beautifu lly. Comes with a genuine mid 50s Kylon tweed case with the red lining.Minor issues as follows:1. There are a couple of very small pieces of wood removed by the neck pickup and there was obviously another pickup in there at one time (still, the black pickguard IS original). See the pictures in the link below.2. A small area of damage has been repaired near the neck plate (see pics). This is very minor and does not affect anything3. First class refret to the first 12 frets only, the rest are original. Changed nut.4. Caps are replaced (switch and pots are original)5. The "Esquire" part of the decal has been replaced. The rest of it is original and you can see the " and part of the E from the orignal esquire logo. It's been very well done.Apart from that, the guitar is all there.
