Price: 305.0
Up for auction is a GREAT 1993 Fender American Standard Stratocaster.  It’s in amazing shape.   The color is a Burgundy Red.  I don’t know the official Fender color name, but the photos accurately reproduce the color.  Nice rosewood fingerboard.  9.5” radius.  Medium jumbo frets with very little wear.  Very slight indentations down at the first couple of frets.  The saddles are the stock, American Standard powdered stainless saddles.  These are great.  Standard Fender two point tremolo.  I have 4 springs in there and tightened right down so the bridge is down flat against the face of the guitar.  This can easily be adjusted to be floating.  I just don’t use the trem much, and I don’t want the bridge to lift when I bend strings. Schaller strap locks have been installed.  If you request, I can include a set of the locks for the straps.  Current street price is $25, and if you’ve ever had a guitar slip off the strap, you’ll agree that this is well worth the investment. Stock pickups have been replaced with Fender Custom Shop Texas Specials (Current Street Price = $200).  You’ve read all about them.  (If you haven’t read all about them, do so.)  You can’t go wrong here.  Staggered Alnico 5 magnets, enamel-coated magnet wire and cloth output wires.  These are stock pickups on the Steve Ray Vaughan, Mark Knopfler and Bonnie Raitt Signature Stratocasters.  Middle pickup reverse wound so it hum cancels in the 2 and 4 position.  Aside from the strap locks and the pickups, the only other mod I have made is replacing the treble tone pot.  I’ve installed a push-pull pot which activates the bridge pickup, regardless of the pickups selected.  This allows you to get two extra cool pickup combination:  All three pickups at once, and “Bridge and Neck”.  This last combination is great sounding , very similar to a “Tele” sound.  The body is in great shape for a 20 year old guitar.  A few very light pick marks, too small to even feel.  For full disclosure, I will detail ALL scratches and bumps on the guitar.  Many listings will not mention most of these scratches. There are several very small bumps, all of which are detailed in the last photos with the arrows.  The first is ~1/4” wide on the back of the headstock.  It actually is much more noticeable in the picture (taken in the sun) than it is in real life.  I didn’t even realize the urethane finish had pulled up until I took the close up photo.  If I had seen it earlier, I would have put a drop of polyurethane or crazy glue on it.  I’ll leave that to you.  There is a second absolutely tiny bump on the back of the headstock. There is also ... Click for more info
