Just a super nice 2010 Fender “Road Worn Player” Strat… actually has the feel of an old vintage strat, with the fit and feel like a favorite pair of old worn jeans. This guitar belongs to a long time customer and friend of ours, an avid collector/player, who takes extremely good care of his instruments. So really, other than the factory done relic work, this one should appear pretty much as it did when it was new. The only reason for selling is that he finds himself with just way too many strats in his collection right now and so must part with a few. Coming out of Fender’s Mexican plant the Road Worn series is their more affordable version of their Fender Custom Shop relic line of guitars. And with this “Player” series model Fender has actually taken the Road Worn even further with additional features that players really appreciate. Hotter pickups with Texas Special single coils for the neck and middle then a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Plus at the bridge, which along with the 5-way selector switch allows you to go from smoking hot to rich singing sweet tones. The alder body is finished in a lightly distressed nitro cellulose classic candy apple red lacquer. The 21-fret rosewood fingerboard has medium jumbo frets and the maple neck with its distressed finish gives it that nice worn feel in your hands (I really like this neck). Also included is the original Fender Deluxe gig bag along with all original hang tags, adjustment wrenches, and other case candy… and of course the aged trem arm. Hard not to like this strat, impressive range of tones, classic good looks with a feel and vibe that sets it apart from most new guitars today… truly a very tasty instrument in all respects. Something to consider: Our experienced professional instrument technicians have thoroughly inspected, tested, and adjusted this guitar, as we do with all our instruments, so that it will arrive in the best possible playing condition. All electronics have been thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and tested to insure that they are in proper working order. We have installed a NEW set of strings, adjusted the neck, adjusted and set the string height/playing action, adjusted and balanced the height of the pickups, and adjusted and set the intonation… we constantly hear stories about those who purchased an instrument off Ebay or thru mail order, only to realize when it arrives that they must now pay to have it set-up and adjusted before it will play as it should, average cost for which will be between $30.-$50.
