This is a 1992 Fender Standard Stratocaster light relic. I call it a light relic because it HAS NOT been artificially aged but has earned ALL of it's scraps, dings, scratches, cracks, finish checking, dirt, corrosion, and grime. It is a true road warrior and has an awesome worn-in, broken-in feel that has ;to be experienced to understand. The shoulders of the fretboard are soft and rounded and the fret ends are smooth and comfortable. This guitar has tons of MOJO and just feels awesome in your hands. I've had this guitar for many years and it was one of my main gigging guitars when I was playing in bands, so it's been around. This guitar is stock original except for the pickups which were replaced with Mighty Mite ALNICO V Vintage Tone pickups which sound awesome, and the pickguard which is from an American Standard Strat. These are not the cheap import type pickups with the ferrite magnet glued on the back, but real wax potted staggered Alnico V pole magnets that produce some sweet tone when clean and nasty blues tone when overdriven. The tremolo arm and back cover are missing. If you are looking for a pristine showy piece of furniture, look elsewhere, but if you want a great playing, great sounding, road worn (for real), blues machine with tons of character and MOJO, t hen THIS is the guitar for you.
