Serial #: 7012xx.. 9.5 lbs. Few guitars hold as much history in the line as the Les Paul. For over 50 years, the Les Paul has been featured in the hands of pro players- both on stage and on record. The mahogany/maple body creates a tone rich in bottom end and cutting midrange- the ultimate rock guitar. The '57 Les Paul holds a special place in the history books- so Gibson reissued the guitar in exceptional VOS fashion. This LPR7 features everything that made the original so special. The body features a hand carved maple top and long neck tenon- this gives the guitar incredible tone transfer. Add to that the dual mini humbucking pickups and you start to put the tonal puzzle together. The mini hums were designed to bring back the infamous 70's Deluxe tone- sweet 'PAF' tone with a bit more articulation. The bridge pickup gives you incredible crunch- perfect for solid rhythms and searing lead work. The neck pickup sits on that long neck tenon- soaking up the vibrations from the neck. The result is seemingly endless sustain- thick and wonderful with great note clarity. Both pickups run through the Bumblebee caps for the ultimate in sweet vintage tone. Beautiful. The mahogany neck keeps the heritage alive with its awesome 50's profile. The chunky profile adds to the sustain and tone transfer. The look is perfect- Gold Top finish, body binding, full neck binding, chrome hardware...it's all here. Exceptional condition- nothing to report.
