    Here’s a great playing and classic sounding American Fender Tele. Hard to say anything new about this iconic design, Fender got it right very early on and this example from 2000 is clean and original.    Fender’s American Standard Telecaster was updated in June of 2000 to the ‘American Series’ so this is one of the earlier batches with neck and body stamps that date from July to September. This series was retired in 2007. Features: Non-veneered Alder or Ash Body, One-piece Maple neck, Maple Fingerboard, 25.5 in. scale, 22 Frets, Deluxe cast/sealed tuning machines, 2 American single-coil Pickups 3-ply parchment pickguard, Hand rolled fingerboard edges Highly detailed fret and nut treatment, Bi-Flex truss rod "Delta Tone" system (including high output bridge pickup and special "no-load" tone control) Micro-Tilt neck adjustment.   Nothing has been messed with. Untouched solder joints. Original pickups. Condition wise it’s very nice with some honest player-wear; body and neck show some scratching and a ding or two. Nothing horrible. Photos show Southern California cloud & light reflections so don’t take them for finish-wear. Maple neck plays good with a little relief. Original frets show typical wear but have plenty of riffs left. Neck is 1 5/8th wide at the nut. Action is currently at 1/16th at the 12th fret and is easily adjusted to suit the new owners’ preferences. Neck fills your hands well and is very comfortable.   Running it though my old Super Reverb is about as good as it gets… All the cluck, clean and dare I say spank, you’d ever desire. Led Zep 1 anybody?   So, all in all a great no excuses, no shenanigans Fender Tele that is ready to rock out for many more years.   It’s a cool one great for any Classic Fender Telecaster player and/or collector!
