Our Do-It-Yourself kits utilize the best electronic components available from Bourns, Switchcraft, Oak-Grisby, CTS and Panasonic for better performance in your guitar. It comes completely pre- wired so all you have to do is insert your pickup wires and output jack into the solder-less terminal block and mount the assembly to your control plate or pick-guard. While other Tele vendors make you choose between standard or reverse control mounted kits, you can save money with ours since it can be used in both control plate orientations. So how do our kits improve your tone? We have developed a new "dynamic" wiring system that puts you in control of how to dial in your Tele® setup to get the best sound from it. It's as easy as flipping a feature on, listening to it and making your personal decision to use it or not. Your Volume control has three user selectable features; 1) You can set its value to 250K or 500K to provide the proper value for the type of pickups you have, 2) You can select Vintage or Modern style tone control wiring, 3) Optional “Treble Roll-off” circuit when using “Modern” wiring. This prevents treble loss when you lower your volume. Your Tone control has two user selectable features; 1) You can set its value to 250K or 500K, 2) You can brighten or darken your pickup tone by selecting one of the nine different capacitor values available to you. All of the features combine to increase the usability of your controls along with unprecedented clarity in your overall tone to achieve tones that you didn't think were possible.Bridge Pickup: Area Hot Tâ"¢ Bridge DP421 What would a Tele® bridge pickup sound like if it had the same EQ as a vintage PAF®? If you’re a Tele® player and you think this is an interesting question, we have the answer: it’s the Area Hot Tâ"¢ Bridge. Because it has the classic Tele® 6-magnet configuration, it’s not simply a PAF® reduced to Tele® size. The sound is more detailed and controlled. The plain strings both sing and sting, and the wound strings have a dynamic quality that’s halfway between a humbucker and a P90. The Area Hot Tâ"¢ Bridge uses Alnico 2 magnets like our other Areaâ"¢ models, and works well with either 250K or 500K controls.Upgraded Jack: Electrosocket, Hands down the best jack for a telecaster, why they don't use them on modern production guitars is beyond me, ...
