RELISTED, I RAN THIS SOME MONTHS AGO BUT THIS TIME I'M STARTING AT $1 so DON'T BE SHY! This guitar started out as a real (NOT REISSUE) 1964 Gibson SG Jr, missing all of its original parts but everything on it now is upgraded from what would have been stock. At Atomic Guitars in Peoria, AZ, the guitar was refinished to black (with a primer undercoat), set up with a Duncan P-Rails pickup with a special switch on the pickup ring ( two switches give you both coils, or front coil, or back coil with a combination of a P90 and blade pickup ), replaced wiring too . The refinish overall looks very good and professionally done, but there are a couple of dimples in the paint on the back of the peg head but a quality job. Due to the refinish it is difficult to see the serial number without turning it to just the right spot in the light, but it's there. (looks like 233XXX). Other changed parts: tuners, Wilkinson tunable bridge, truss rod cover, strap buttons, guard, knobs, backplat e, truss rod cover, etc., basically everything except the body and fingerboard. Pretty sure it's a refret on the original Brazilian rosewood board. There was a repair in the neck heel area where neck was coming loose in the pocket but that repair is not visible through the paint. Nice action, sounds great. There are some pretty noticeable chips in the finish as this was used in a working band for awhile, along with some scratches and I've tried my best to show that but it's hard with a shiny black finish. Has a Gibson rectangular hard case with Gibson in gold on the outside and a black interior, unsure what year that would make it but NOT original to the guitar. This is a really nice player, just needs a new home.
