'05 Gibson USA Custom Shop Les Paul SG Standard Electric Guitar w/OHSC & COA This is a great piece but, sadly, must go. This is the Gibson Custom Les Paul SG Reissue. 24.75" scale. 1 11/16" nut width. The aesthetics are to die for- Classic White finish, bound neck, and NICKEL hardware. The neck inlays have been upgraded by HISTORIC MAKEOVERS to 50-early 60s style Cellulose Nitrate Inlays which improves the look considerably. Excellent condition- see pictures. Has been played but not abused. It has some small minor nicks and dings plus some scratches on the back but nothing major. The frets are clean- just professionally set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret. This auction includes the original hardshell case, COA, case candy and paperwork. This is a no reserve auction- don't pass this by! The '61 SG is a true classic, the first year for the SG body style. From '61 to '63 it was part of the Les Paul line, after '63, due to customer response, the SG became its own model. Gibson Custom Shop brought the '61 back to all its glory- solid mahogany body, Maestro Vibrola, Bumblebee caps, and dual 57 classic pickups to bring back that legendary tone. With its light weight and mahogany design, this SG has an incredible warm resonance. In the bridge position, this has incredible crunch- those perfect high end mids with the natural resonance give a big tone that cuts right through the mix. The neck pickup brings back thick syrupy sustain with nice note clarity. Roll back the tone pots and you engage the infamous Bumblebees for sweet high end roll off. Impressive. The neck here is the Slim Taper- the thinnest neck in the LP/SG line. .86" deep at the 5th fret. Combine that with the 12" fretboard radius and you have a true player. Big bends, fast position shifts...it's all in here. The icing on the cake is the Maestro tremolo- chord and single note vibrato- smooth. Flat rate shipping for the lower 48 states.
