This is a 1997 Fender Strat Stratocaster Plus with Roller Nut and beautiful tortoise shell pickguard. I have upgraded it by installing a Hot Rails in the bridge(it really screams through a loud amp and is very quiet), and some standard Strat-type pickups in the neck and middle positions. I want to get an other Green Clapton Strat so some lucky bidder will get this black one.Has the original tone boost/cut circuit. The electronics are stock, the pickups are upgrades.The body has fairly light wear for the guitar's age, mostly because I played it for a year, and that was all...I got another new guitar and played that one instead. There are a few small dings and scratches. See pics :) FYI: In picture 4 those are scratches, not cracks. There are no cracks on this guitar.The neck is straight and excellent. The back of the neck is super smooth, except for a really small dip where the skunk stripe ends(very common thing on Strats)The frets show about a year's wear. I didn't put all that much time on this guy.Tuning stability is quite good even when using the tremolo arm. This came with a Hip Shot. I have been completely crazy with the whammy and it comes back into tune quite well...puts a regular Strat to shame. You'll have to adjust it to your taste and feel. The neck pocket is nice a nd tight, and there are no cracks or paint chips *anywhere*.I have a Hot Rails in the bridge which screams, a genuine Strat pickup in the middle and an off brand pickup in the neck. Just something I threw in.My other guitars make my Marshall hum but this one does not pick up the transformers. Very quiet guitar as far as picking up amp noise.Really a beautiful guitar with the complementary pickguard, rosewood neck, and black body. The case is excellent, has no problems. Also: was in animal and smoke-free environment, and I am the original owner.Why not bid on this cool guitar today? Just hit "place a bid" above.
