You are looking at a 1973 Gibson SG in reliced condition.. Great pickups and sound!Offered for auction with a 95p starting price and NO RESERVE!!I am running out of space for guitars again and am getting the itch to buy something different, so this has to go (along with another from my collection)... Both are great guitars, but are not getting the use they should be... So.... an opportunity for someone!!If you are looking for a pristine vintage SG, you may as well stop reading now... but if you are interested in a genuine vintage vibe guitar for a fraction of the cost of an all original vintage axe which sounds great, this may well be the guitar for you...This guitar came as a just a body... It was probably an SG2 or SG Pro and I had a set of date original Kluson Deluxe tuners, exactly like the ones that it would have had when it was made which, now fitted, are working like a dream... Very stable & smooth.... It has a graphite compound nut which further helps the strings to run smoothly when tuning...The control  panel is non-original (it would probably have had slide selectors for the two PUs & just one Tone and one Volume knob... It is set up now with separate Tone & Volume controls for each pickup a la SG Standard or Les Paul and a 3 way pickup selector switch... The pots are high quality with Gibson 250Ks used for the volume controls and v intage USA Dimarzio 250Ks for the Tone controls...All working well with no issues... The scratch plate is also non-original...The pickups are a pair of matched Seymour Duncan mini humbuckers (the guitar would probably have had mini humbuckers originally)...but these babies are much more powerful than the stock Gibsons it would have had... Rich, strong and with plenty of bite when overdriven but clean and jazzy at the neck when you want it... They work equally well with lots of gain or clean...The finish is definitely naturally reliced... Lots of little dings, dents, scratches etc. and the back has some old screw holes around the edge.. I think someone may had attached a pad of some kind to the back at some point (wierd eh!).. Also, the bridge pickup routing has been expanded to fit a full sized humbucker at some point in its interesting life!... So saying, you can only spot this it you look really close and notice that there is a tiny bit of a gap between the pickup & the body... but everything is solid... The neck joint is as solid as a rock and original (no evidence of a re-set) and the raparound bridge is an old (nicely worn) vintage re-issue... Comes in the Fender padded soft case shown and will be carefully packed for transit...Good luck bidding! ...
