THE PART I HATE--PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU HAVE A POST OFFICE BOX--UPS WILL NOT DELIVER TO THEM--PLEASE DO NOT BID WITHOUT CONTACTING ME FIRST IF YOU HAVE 1.) LESS THAN 10 PERFECT FEEDBACKS, 2.) LIVE IN CANADA, 3.) DO NOT HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT WITH ENOUGH MONEY TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT--WE CAN WORK WITH THIS BUT I NEED T0 HEAR FROM YOU--THANKS.I keep a core collection of about 30 guitars and seldom sell out of it--then there's another 20 or so guitars i buy just to play for awhile and re-sell--usually i lose money on the re-sale so i look at the loss as the cost of renting the guitar of my interest--once in a while i'll clear a profit which is great--but i'm not a re-seller--at least not in the classic sense and if i were i'd probably be considered the world's worse since i usually lose money on the re-sale. But i do get to play a whole lot of interesting instruments. Being retired has its advantages.I make it a policy to never sell a guitar that has not been completely gone over by my luthier prior to offering it--i hate buying an instrument from someone who doesn't know about guitars but thinks that it looks pretty--i'm also not an expert--so i make sure everything i sell--unless otherwise noted--is cleaned, polished, new strings, electronics checked and adjusted if necessary, frets checked, fretboard oiled, neck angle checked, intonation optimized (for my preferences) and black lighted for any previous repairs or damage by my luthier--this costs me $100 but it is well worth the peace of mind that comes with offering an instrument you know is going to be well received. If he finds something i either fix it or note it in the item description. 1978 Gibson ES-347 w/OHSC ***First Year ES-347TD in Rare Walnut Burst!!*** ANOMALIES IN THE FINISH--ESPECIALLY ON THE BACK--ARE REFLECTIONS FROM THE HIGH GLOSS FINISHThis ES-347TD guitar was owned by guitar builder Gary Zimnicki. Gary purchased the Gibson many years ago, before he was constructing his own custom arch top guitars. While that fact is not important by itself it indicates the amount of proper care this guitar has been given over the years. I found this very assuring--when i bought it--given the international reputation of Mr. Zimnicki for high quality care and construction of fine instruments like this one. This is one of the most unique of the ES series guitars. A new thought in the 1970âs, the ES-347 combined the semi-hollow body of the ES-335 with Gold Hardware, a Coil Tap Switch, an Ebony Fretboard, block inlays, and a micro adjusting tailpiece.
