If you are looking for a top condition SG and don't want to sift through hacked up display models at the local chain store or gamble buying one mail order, this is the guitar for you! You are buying a first quality made in US guitar less than1 year old with under 1 hour of playing time on it. Serial number 1xxx1xxxx indicates 2011 manufacture. ( number is obscured in photos) This guitar is in as close to straight from the factory Mint condition as you can get. This was hand selected by a retired pro luthier (guitar builder) from the stock of an authorized Gibson retailer. It was chosen for having the straightest neck, darkest fretboard, most alive unplugged tone, and overall build quality. This model was fretted with the PLEK system a the factory so the frets are very level and even height. The only change is foam was added under the pickups to angle them parallel to the strings. Being a lifelong Fender player the owner could not get used to the scale length, and stored the guitar in its case after the initial test drive. Still has the pickguard plastic covering. There is one small finish i mpression by the jack which somewhat blends into the grain and was consistent with other guitars just coming out of the box.
