Up for bidding here is my 1991 Fender Telecaster Standard. These first year Mexico telecasters were actually built using Fender USA parts from the Corona plant. Nice black alder body paired with a one piece maple neck makes this one sing. The guitar has been upgraded and sounds amazing. In the bridge position is a Seymou r Duncan lil 59, and the neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack. The electronics now feature a treble bleed cap on the volume pot (to retain high frequencies as you turn it down) and the tone pot has been upgraded to Fender Grease Bucket specs. I LOVE that mod and now do variations of it on a lot of my guitars. Earlier this year I had the stock plastic nut replaced with a bone one by Mark Balash of Berkley Music Co. Mark does all the touring setups for Bob Seger, Kid Rock, and the Black dahlia Murder among other Detroit area musicians. It took a  4 week waiting list, but the bone nut sounds soooo much better than plastic. A work order will be provided in the case for this. The guitar is in wonder shape for a 21 year old, so minor dings and scratches, but nothing too crazy. The back of the neck feels amazing, and the frets are at least 90% there. I am always very conservative in my listing descriptions, but trust me, this one is a great addition to any collec tion. I am only selling her because I am up to about double what I no rmally allow myself in guitars around here right now. This one deserves to be played way more often than I do.A vintage style tweed case with red lining is included. Comes with keys and a plain black strap.I am very picky about my Fenders and usually only buy ones that I have played in person. This one struck me when I bought it for a few reasons: it has a lovely neck with a nice tint to it, nice thick old school profile, with some flame figuring on the back, and it is a one piece maple neck (see pic 10) with a walnut stripe. Secondly the tone of the instrument both unplugged and running through an amp is 100% tele, nice snap to it and punchy midrange. Lastly, it is a pretty light weight piece of alder, so it is pretty easy on your back.Shipping to the US is via fedex or UPS, international will be USPS priority or EMS depending on your location.
