American Standard Fender Stratocaster 1984 ~ 1988 This is a very nice and clean 1984/1988 American Stratocaster. The neck serial number is 1984, but as you know it could be as late as 1988 due to the Fender factory moving and holding necks until they reopened in 1988. It is truly a nice piece and has been taken care of. Has a few minor scratches and dings (2) which I took pictures of but no belt buckle wear like you find on others. The finish has yellowed with age which prompted me to get the brown pickguard. Neck is 4-bolt with micro-tilt adjustment as all American Fenders of this period. The neck is very true and plays like butter in your hands. I purcased new and it has spent 1/2 of it's life in the case. Just a really nice old Strat in a really cool original color. Comes with hard case (not the original) which is well worn. Fender Texas Special Strat Pickups are installed and originals will be sent with the guitar along with the original white pickguard. I spent some time trying to find a strat with a unique sound which this one has. The pickups bring more of that out. I have been running 11's for the past few years making it even fatter in tone.
