For sale is a 2007 Fender CIJ '57 Re-Issue Strat that I purchased new in 2007. This guitar is in absolutely perfect condition and is basically unplayed. Upon purchasing, I experimented with a few changes to enhance tome/playability as well as the visual asthetic, among them replacing the stark white single ply pickguard and trem cover with 3 ply Fender OEM units in parchment (they knobs were similarly changed).&nb sp; I also added a Lindy Fralin Blues Special pick-up at the neck position and a DiMarzio Chopper-T humbucker at the bridge (these are the same pick-ups that Richie Kotzen uses in his signature Strat's). Tonally, you can cover almost anything with this set up. I had the trem blocked and the bridge set low to the body to improve sustain. It also recently received a pro set-up with DR 10's. This particular guitar sounds incredible. The only reason I'm selling is that it's time to down size the collection to clear space. I'm a middle aged collector that travels extensively with my work and don't have much time to play anymore. I can assure you that someone will be getting a wonderful guitar and probably a great deal (I've set a low reserve). I believe I have close to $500.00 invested over and above the purchase price of the guitar. It has been kept in a humidity controlled room where all of my guitars are stored. There is not one scratch or flaw of any type on it . You will not be dissapointed. I will ship only within the domestic US. Comes with its' orignal gig bag.
