Fender Jaguar baritone guitar, bass VI... NO Reserve This guitar was put together using a Fender Jaguar classic player body (Mexico) and Fender Baritone Custom neck(Japan). Because the scale length increased going from guitar to baritone (now 28.5), the cavity for the tremolo assembly on the body was filled and the surface was covered with a plate made from a pickguard. A 1960's Teisco era (Japan) tremolo assembly and bridge were added instead. A Lace Sensor pickup was also added where the original bridge was located on the classic player body. The two Jaguar pickups also came from the same Fender Baritone Custom guitar that the neck was from, along with the tuning machines on that neck. The plastic volume/tone knobs came from a mid 70's Fender Mustang guitar. This instrument has been wired so that each pickup can be switched on/off with the 3 selector switch. The capacitor at the tone is a .047mfd. Brass plates have also been added to and grounded to the wiring inside the body cavities, similar to the 1960's Fender Jaguar (see photos). There are Bass VI strings (E,A,D,G,B,E) presently on it, but could use Baritone (B,E,A,D,F#,B)... Overall, this instrument plays nicely and sounds great, but it does have some cosmetic issues. There is obvious paint that has chipped in the area where the base of neck sits (see photos). There were two previous drill holes on the top of body, after tremolo assembly, that have been filled and touched up. There is a discoloring in paint and a few nicks closer to bridge/temolo area. On the bottom, other side, there are a few other spots that have been filled and touched up. The neck remains in a straight and playable condition. There was a previous incident were 4 drill screws broke inside neck base and as a result, did not easily come out, so they were reamed out. The damaged has been repaired and the area remains in a solid condition. Apart from that, the overall neck remains in clean presentable/playable condition with a laquaer chip around edge behind Fender logo on headstock and there a few markings at the heel after slab.
