Here is my 1952 Blackguard Telecaster - This is the most amazing sounding guitar I've ever played, yep, it sounds just a hair even better than my 1951 Nocaster also for sale and the neck is a slightly thicker D and just fits the hand so well. I find myself reaching for this guitar more often than my 1956 Stratoca ster or the 1951 Nocaster. All three of the tone options are fantastic, I really don't have a favorite. And the tone and sustain is amazing - you can only get it with the 1950-1952 Broadcaster, Nocaster or 1st year Telecaster.Let's get right to the meat and potatoes: ABOUT THE GUITAR - 1. The guitar body and neck have been expertly refinished by Fiesta Finishes with the body being lacquered just like original specs so it will start aging and checking nicely quicky. Body shows slight wear with minimal dents/marks. The neck and headstock still show some nice patina. Fretboard refinished nicely as well.2. The fretboard has jumbo frets installed expertly and it plays like butter. The frets have been enlarged and provide much easier play than the 1951 Nocaster that I have which was refretted to standard specs. I've seen a lot of fret jobs and this one is really nice, the fretboard also still shows wear nicely adding patina so not sure how old the refinish on fretboard was.3. The guitar has NOS fender 1950-1952 neck plate screws installed that have naturally aged. The guitar originally came with early 1950's Phillip's head screws likely off a '55 or '56 Telecaster. The guitar came with non-original #5 screws and pickguard screws as well as non-original strap button screws. I have purchased a bulk order through Eddievegas website and ordered 5 original 1951 blackguard screws as well as original 1952 blackguard strap buttons with screws. SO, with that said, the only hardware NOT original after I receive these items this Tuesday will be only the 2 #5 screws and the 4 neckplate screws and 1 string tree screw. Again I have NOS correct Fender screws in place now. 4. Headstock has correct decal with wear however is not original decal as the neck has been refinished.5. Both original pickups have been expertly rewound to original specs using all original components to protect the guitars' integrity. Unbelievable tone from rich chords where each string in defined to twangy 50's Telecaster, you get it all and I can promise t he winning bidder they will understand when they play this guitar. THE GOOD STUFF - * There is NO damage, cracks, broken parts, repairs. The guitar is in fantastic shape!1. Guitar has all original pots, switch, original pot wiring, switch wiring, original bridge pickup, original neck pickup, original pickup screws with nice patina, original body made by EM (Eddie Martinez) 8-8-52 that also says "D" and "#10", original neck made by TG (Tadio Gomez) 8-8-52 with stamped "D", both the body neck pocket and the neck have original lacquer where all markings and dates are and are blacklight confirmed as well and guaranteed by me 100%, original ...
