This is a made in Japan Fender Strat that I never thought I would sell. I wanted a Custom shop relic and new I would never afford one, and the RoadWorn looks too cheap to me, so I ha my favorite strat transformed to the closest thing I could to a CustomShop strat. It has been stripped and repainted by MJT Guitars finishes in Missouri. They us e Nitro and are very well known for their relic and custom services. The color is SonicBlue and heavy relic with aged crackle and yellowing. All the hardware, pickguard, & knobs have been aged. It's all original except the pickups are Van Zant blues pickups. Like I said I never intended to sell this guitar, but it's the only way to buy another I'm looking at. I mention this because I realized later that the I.D numbers were taken off the neck during the relic job. I did write down the number prior- O013390 If it was me I guess this detail would be of concern, that is why I feel a low reserve should reflect this. Their isn't any date on the body either. Regardless, the MJT customizing was $350 and the neck is obvious Fender 62 reissue. I wish the number hadn't been removed but it wasn't a concern at the time.The case is natural relic, it's a reissue from the 80s....I believe. I bought it used in the 80s and had it since. Lord I hope it's not a real vintage case I'll be s orry- but I'm sure it's from the 80s. It matches the guitar "relic lo ok"great!
