This is an outstanding year 2001 Les Paul Standard Plus in very good condition. These were some of the best years for Les Pauls before Gibson started changing things. This model has the factory Grover "kidney" tuners. and a 50's profile neck. It's a well known fact that brand new guitars these days are produced in very large quantities, often overseas, and that quality and attention to detail has pretty much gone out the window...the old saying that "they don't make em like they used to" really does hold true. The few times I have purchased a new instrument, I had to mod it anyway just to get decent tone, action and vibe... That is why we do the necessary mods so the guitar you get from us is like "broken in", it feels good in your hands and has the kind of tone you would expect. It's a shame that these large guitar makers use such cheap parts such as mass produced capacitors that probably cost a penny each, but are used in instruments that retail for $3,800...  The LightBurst finish on this along with the LP Plus AAA Flame Top gives this guitar that timeless, classic and sought after look of the iconic Les Paul.
